Château Cheval is a Luxury California Equestrian Estate Style home nestled in beautiful Somis, California citrus groves, perfect for Special Events, Film, Television, Commercials, Company Retreats, Corporate Events, Baby & Bridal Showers, Photoshoots, Classic brands / High fashion brands.

This one-story space in a serene setting in Somis, CA featuring 4 full bedrooms & bathrooms and adequate parking for your needs. The estate is spread across 40 acres with access to lemon groves and surrounded by eucalyptus trees for privacy. An open concept barn and beautiful green pasture with white fencing perfect for equestrian shoots and elevated luxury events with it's peaceful and serene ambiance.

Our property includes, a gated entrance and offers incredible views with iconic roads for automobile photography and private on site nature scenery for photoshoots.

Rules + Information

Fee Structure:

Damage Deposit: 1/2 of the total rate held prior to your event and/or shoot date.

LEMON GROVES

Walking in the groves you must have appropriate walking wear. Lemon trees have thorns and although we grind branches after pruning, the thorns can penetrate shoe souls.

HORSES + BARN CATS

No pets are allowed without prior written permission in the contract. Failure to comply results in a $1,000 deduction from the damage deposit. Your safety is our first priority. We are happy to share our love of horses with you, but ask for our presence if you would like to pet them. Horses are unpredictable and therefore can lead to injury without proper understanding and care. We can not relocate our horses or barn cats but happy to have an open dialogue and communication with you.

Damages:

Our site rep documents the property’s condition before and after each film shoot or event by way of photo and video.

A professional cleaner is hired before and after each booking, however, it is your responsibility to clean and organize any of our personal possessions, toilets, floors, grounds, or any misc. clutter before, during, and after your event upon exiting. Always respect the property which is our residence.

At the end of each event, we conduct a walkthrough with our site rep to make sure the property has been restored to our expectations. If there is notable damage that requires repair we work together to resolve the issue before resorting to production insurance or cashing the damage deposit.

We have 24 hours from the end of the event to hold your damage deposit.

Parking:

ABOUT

Chateau Cheval is a privately gated residence with no HOA, so there is ample parking on the property excluding in front of the residence. Parking personnel will be on site to assist.

PERMITTING

We do not require permitting on our property. Should your event require permitting, that is your responsibility.

LOADING/UNLOADING

There is ample space for loading and unloading. Any large trucks and/or trailers will be assisted with parking upon arrival. We will provide a downloadable map upon booking to identify loading and unloading areas.

PRIVATE/GATED PARKING

Overnight and pre-loading storage is possible and available. There are no height restrictions for vehicles. All vehicles coming through property will be met by ranch personnel.

PARKING VENDORS

Should your event be large enough, we will require a parking vendor.
